Product Owner - Trading APIs & Algo Platforms

- Location : Mumbai/Bangalore

At Nuvama Wealth, our API Connect platform powers API-first trading, retail algos, fintech integrations, and high-velocity market participants. We're looking for a product leader who can take full ownership of this platform and eco-system, steer its evolution, and help build the future of API and moder age technology trading in India.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the complete roadmap and delivery of the Trading API suite, Modern technology led trading suite, covering Login, order placement, market data streams, RMS integration, session management, and platform scalability.

- Driving technology led solutions to create the new-age tech driven Trading Eco system.

- Fully own and manage the API Connect and other modern technology led platform, ensuring its stability, performance, and long-term product vision.

- Define and drive the platform's growth trajectory, including commercial strategy, adoption metrics, and business reporting.

- Build and manage strong relationships with algo providers, fintech partners, and technology vendors.

- Collaborate with Partner and Clients for seamless integration and technical smooth working of integration

- Lead the Algo Approval lifecycle with exchanges (NSE, BSE, MCX, NCDEX), managing documentation, testing workflows, and internal coordination.

- Collaborate closely with engineering, compliance, risk, operations, and sales teams to deliver seamless API-led and algorithmic trading journeys.

- Develop client-facing frameworks using APIs, webhooks, callbacks, and integrations for retail, institutional, and fintech partners.

- Benchmark Nuvama's API and algo offerings against top brokers and identify improvement and differentiation opportunities

- Stability and performance of this ecosystem so that our ecosystem if robust to handle scale and performs with low latency.

- Ensure compliance with SEBI and exchange regulations for algos, risk controls, audits, and approval processes.

Requirements:

Must-Have:

- Minimum 8 years of experience in Indian stock broking or trading technology.

- Strong understanding of equity and derivatives markets, especially F&O and retail algo trading behaviours.

- Practical experience with REST APIs, OMS, and RMS.

- Technical comfort with Python, Java and other technology, with the ability to read and write basic scripts.

- Thorough understanding of SEBI algo regulations and exchange documentation processes.

Good-to-Have:

- A trader-like mindset with strong market awareness

- Experience working with algo vendors, fintechs, or API ecosystem partners

- Strong analytical skills and an ability to work fluidly with cross-functional teams.
