Urgent opening for Product Manager - Private Label Product Category with a large corporate in Hyderabad location
Exp : Min 6 -10 yrs in FMCG / Personal Care /Devices / Food / Nutrition products.
Role Overview:
The Product Manager will own end-to-end responsibility for a specific product line within the Private Label division, from vendor identification and onboarding to commercial management and innovation. This role requires a strong understanding of sourcing, cost structures, vendor management, product tracking, and differentiation strategies.
Portfolio Scope:
- Specific Private Label Product Category (e.g., Personal Care / Devices / Food / Nutrition)
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):
- Vendor Management
- Vendor identification and onboarding
- Negotiate and finalize vendor agreements
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
Product Commercial & Costing:
- Develop and update product cost cards
- Conduct regular commercial negotiations with vendors
- Ensure commercial viability and margin targets
Supply & Fulfilment Planning:
- Monitor on-time delivery and fill rates
- Ensure scale preparedness and production planning
- Resolve line and quantity fulfilment issues
- Market Intelligence & Innovation
- Conduct market scanning and competitor tracking
- Track product trends and innovations
- Propose and drive differentiation strategies
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Vendor Management KPIs:
- Number of vendors onboarded per quarter
- Vendor compliance and service score
Commercial Performance KPIs:
- Accuracy of product cost cards
- Commercial savings achieved through negotiations
Supply Chain Efficiency KPIs:
- OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery rate
- Line & quantity fill rate improvement
Innovation & Differentiation KPIs:
- Number of differentiated features launched
- Market share gain in target category
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field. MBA preferred.
- 6-10 years of experience in product management, sourcing, or category management in FMCG, retail, or private label.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing vendor relationships and contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of cost structures, product life cycles, and supply chain dynamics.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and analytical tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
- Ability to handle scale-up operations and track performance metrics effectively.
- Excellent communication, cross-functional collaboration, and project management skills.
