
Product Manager Onboarding & Activation

About the Role:
We are looking for a Product Manager Onboarding & Activation to own and optimize the complete customer journey from app installation to the first funded trade. This includes KYC, account opening, bank linking, funding, and customer activation. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in the stock broking domain who understands the challenges of regulatory onboarding and has successfully improved conversion rates through product enhancements and experimentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end install-to-first-funded-trade funnel, including measurement, analysis, optimization, and performance tracking.
- Drive onboarding and activation improvements through A/B testing, UX enhancements, funnel optimization, and data-driven experimentation.
- Identify and eliminate friction points across onboarding processes such as KYC, eKYC, eSign, Demat account opening, bank verification, and funding.
- Work closely with compliance and regulatory teams to design the fastest possible onboarding journey while ensuring regulatory adherence.
- Reduce onboarding turnaround time (TAT) without compromising compliance or customer experience.
- Build and execute the onboarding product roadmap aligned with business growth objectives.
- Monitor key activation metrics, analyze customer behavior, and recommend product improvements based on insights.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 56 years of Product Management experience, with at least 1 year of experience in a stock broking organization.
- Hands-on experience with broker onboarding processes, including:
1. KYC / eKYC
2. eSign
3. Demat account opening
4. CDSL
5. Bank verification
6. F&O activation
- Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in SQL, cohort analysis, funnel analytics, and experiment design.
- Experience collaborating with compliance, legal, and regulatory stakeholders in the financial services domain.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a first-principles approach and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience optimizing Futures & Options (F&O) or commodity trading activation journeys.
- Knowledge of payment and funding flow optimization, including UPI, bank transfers, and other digital payment methods.
- Prior experience working in a high-growth startup environment (preferably organizations with fewer than 200 employees).
