Senior Manager, Product: Mutual Funds (App, Growth and Advisory)

Products team - Mumbai

Reports to: Product leadership, Retail Mutual Funds

Location: Mumbai

Experience: About 5 years in product management, ideally in fintech, broking, wealth or consumer apps

What you will do:

- Own the mutual fund customer journeys on the NEO app: investing, SIP, SWP and STP, payments, portfolio view and analysis.

- Find where customers drop off between intent and first order, size the problem with data, and run a steady cycle of experiments to improve conversion and repeat investing.

- Identify and shape AI-led features, such as assistants, personalisation and recommendations, that help customers invest with confidence; define quality and safety checks and work with Tech, Compliance and Data to launch and improve them.

- Improve customer experience on the funnel: reduce avoidable contacts and raise CSAT and NPS for mutual fund customers.

- Write clear problem statements, requirements and success measures, and work with Design, Engineering, QA, Analytics and Marketing to deliver on the quarterly plan.

- Work with other product and business teams so that common building blocks are reused rather than built twice.

- Bring in customer feedback, research and competitor learning, and turn them into the roadmap.

- Coach and guide junior product team members as the team grows.

What you bring:

- About 5 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years owning a customer-facing app or journey with measurable results.

- Clear customer-journey thinking: you map the journey, find the friction and fix it with evidence.

- Comfort with data: funnels, cohorts and A/B tests; able to use SQL or analytics tools such as Mixpanel, CleverTap or Amplitude on your own.

- Interest in AI products and practical exposure to them: you have built or worked closely on a chatbot, recommendation, personalisation or LLM-based feature.

- Understanding of customer experience measures such as contact ratio, CSAT and NPS, and how to move them.

- Strong written and spoken communication; you can work with senior stakeholders, Compliance and Operations.

- Graduate degree; MBA or engineering background is a plus.

Good to have:

- Experience in mutual funds, broking, wealth or payments, and knowledge of SIP and investment flows.

- Understanding of SEBI and AMFI rules on investor communication.

- Experience working with Design on mobile app UX, and with Tech on APIs and release planning.
