With a focus on flexible repayment options, simplified documentation, and fast processing, it aims to offer accessible credit solutions to people who may not have a traditional credit history.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end product roadmap for UPI fraud prevention, risk control, and transaction security.
- Design and implement real-time fraud detection systems, rule engines, velocity checks, and anomaly monitoring.
- Analyze UPI transaction data to identify fraud patterns, emerging MO trends, mule accounts, and behavioral anomalies.
- Work with data science to build or refine risk scoring models, fraud signals, and machine-learning based detection.
- Drive root-cause analysis on fraud incidents and implement corrective product solutions to reduce fraud losses.
- Ensure product compliance with NPCI guidelines, RBI instructions, UPI safety frameworks, and partner bank requirements.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, risk teams, and banks to deliver scalable fraud- control features.
- Deliver PRDs/BRDs, dashboards, and performance insights for fraud KPIs such as Fraud Rate, Loss %, and False Positives.
- Prioritize feature development based onfraud risk impact, user experience, andbusiness goals.
- Monitor post-launch impact offraud-control features anditerate rapidly using data-driven insights.
Skills and Requirements:
- Strong understanding of UPI systems, PSP/TPAP workflows, NPCIAPIs, and digital payments architecture.
- Experience infraud prevention, AML,transaction monitoring, riskmanagement, and financial crime systems.
- Ability toanalyze large transaction datasets using SQL,dashboards (Redash), andfraud- analytics tools.
- Working knowledge of risk scoring models, rule engines, behavioral biometrics, device binding and velocity checks.
- Ability towrite clear PRDs, workflows, risk rules, and detailed product specifications.
- Strong product sense with theability to balance risk control, customer experience, and business impact.
- Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills in high- ambiguity environments.
- Technical familiarity with APIs, datapipelines, microservices, andreal-time event processing systems.
- Strong communication skills with a detail-oriented, risk-first mindset and a bias for execution.
Experience & Educational Qualifications:
- 3+ years of work experience.
- Experience infast-paced startup environment.
- Master's or Bachelor's from tier 1 /tier 2 institutes.
