Role Snapshot:

Title: Product SME Credit Underwriting (Product Manager).

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Experience: 3-8 Years.

Industry Preference: Banking / Credit / FinTech.

Reporting Nature: Individual contributor + client-facing SME.

Core Purpose of the Role:

This role blends Credit Underwriting Subject Matter Expertise with Product Management & Pre-Sales responsibilities.

The candidate must deeply understand credit underwriting frameworks and be able to translate them into scalable products and client-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities (Simplified):

- Act as SME for Credit Underwriting products.

- Own and guide credit processes & credit policy alignment.

- Translate complex underwriting logic into simple business language.

- Conduct product demos & client presentations.

- Support pre-sales discussions with strong domain knowledge.

- Track regulatory changes, market trends & competitors.

- Drive product improvements based on feedback.

- Collaborate with Tech, Sales, Marketing & Engineering.

Mandatory Qualifications:

- MBA (Finance) / CA / CFA.

- Minimum 3 years of Credit Underwriting experience in a Bank.

- Hands-on exposure to:

- Credit underwriting assessment.

- Risk evaluation models.

- Credit policies & approval workflows.

Preferred Background:

- Product Manager / Business Analyst exposure.

- FinTech / Credit Platform / Digital Lending experience.

- Ability to work independently in client-facing scenarios.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Strong banking credit underwriting foundation.

- Can pitch and demo products confidently.

- Comfortable speaking with clients, sales & tech teams.

- Thinks like a product owner, not just an underwriter.
