Product Manager - BFS

Job Summary

We are seeking a Product Manager with strong experience in the lending domain and a prior background as a software developer. This techno-functional role requires bridging business needs with robust technical solutions to drive product excellence. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering teams, understand system architecture, and translate complex lending requirements into scalable product features.

Key Responsibilities

- Own product strategy and roadmap for lending modules (LOS, LMS, Collections)

- Drive end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery design delivery adoption

- Work directly with clients (banks/NBFCs) to understand credit processes, policy frameworks, and operational challenges

- Convert business needs into scalable product features, configurable workflows, and reusable components

- Partner with engineering to design API-first, microservices-based solutions

- Lead product discovery initiatives, including market research, competitor analysis, and innovation opportunities

- Support sales and pre-sales in RFPs, client pitches, and solution architecture discussions

- Drive product standardization vs. customization decisions across implementations

- Mentor junior product managers and collaborate across cross-functional teams

Lending Domain Expertise (Critical)

Deep understanding of end-to-end lending lifecycle:

- Origination (journeys, KYC, bureau integrations)

- Credit underwriting (scorecards, decision engines, policy rules)

- Loan management (amortization, disbursement, repayments)

- Collections & recovery strategies

Experience with:

- Retail / SME / Corporate lending products

- Digital lending journeys and straight-through processing (STP)

- Risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks across markets
