Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager with functional expertise in Credit and Risk within the BFSI domain, ideally from an NBFC or Bank background (non-retail). The role involves leading AI-driven product development initiatives that transform how credit evaluation, risk monitoring, and portfolio management are done across financial institutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong domain understanding with structured product thinking, bridging credit analytics, risk frameworks, and technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Strategy & Vision:

- Define the product roadmap for AI-led BFSI solutions, aligned with business goals of NBFCs, banks, and financial institutions.

- Translate domain pain points into scalable AI and analytics product features.

- Work with leadership to identify market gaps and create differentiated value propositions.

2. Product Design & Development:

- Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to design AI/ML models.

- Convert business use cases into functional and technical product requirements.

3. Domain & Functional Ownership:

- Apply credit and risk expertise to shape model logic, parameter design, and validation approaches.

- Work with business heads to ensure regulatory alignment.

- Act as the functional bridge between domain teams and technical teams.

4. Stakeholder & Client Engagement:

- Engage with NBFCs, banks, mutual funds, and other BFSI partners and clients to understand evolving needs and translate them into actionable product features.

- Conduct product demos, gather feedback, and translate insights into product iterations.

Required Experience & Skills:

Functional Expertise / Product Management:

- Minimum 5+ years of domain and product expertise.

- Experience in corporate/enterprise lending, not retail or consumer credit.

- Understanding of underwriting, rating, portfolio monitoring, covenants, and regulatory frameworks.

- Experience in conceptualizing, designing, and delivering digital or AI-driven financial products.

- Strong capability in documenting workflows, business logic, and requirements.

Tech / Data (Optional):

- Understanding of AI/ML applications in credit risk, compliance, or analytics.

- Exposure to APIs, dashboards, or fintech ecosystems.

- Ability to work with data scientists and translate domain problems into use cases.

Soft Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.

- Good communication skills, able to interface with CXOs and technical teams.

- Execution-driven, structured thinker, comfortable with ambiguity in AI product development.

Educational Background:

- MBA (Finance) or equivalent from a reputed institution.
