About the Role:

We are looking for a Product Manager to join our product team in Mumbai and take ownership of building and scaling technology products for the logistics and freight-forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding customer and business problems, defining product requirements, working closely with engineering and design teams, and driving products from ideation to development, launch, and continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex operational problems through technology and wants to build products that have a direct impact on business growth and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Ownership:

- Own the product roadmap for assigned modules and products.

- Define product vision, goals, priorities, and success metrics.

- Convert business and customer problems into scalable product solutions.

- Prioritize features based on customer impact, business value, effort, and strategic priorities.

- Continuously identify opportunities to improve product adoption, efficiency, and revenue.

Product Discovery:

- Work closely with customers, sales, operations, and internal stakeholders to understand pain points.

- Conduct market and competitor research to identify product opportunities.

- Analyse user behaviour and product data to identify areas for improvement.

- Validate ideas through customer interviews, prototypes, MVPs, and experiments.

Product Development:

- Create detailed PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and functional specifications.

- Work closely with Engineering, QA, UI/UX, and Business teams throughout the development lifecycle.

- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered as intended.

- Coordinate UAT, release planning, and product launches.

Logistics / Freight Product Management:

- Understand freight-forwarding processes such as LCL, FCL, Air, Export, Import, Pricing, Booking, Documentation, Tracking, and Delivery.

- Identify opportunities to automate manual operational processes.

- Design workflows that improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

- Work on integrations with carriers, transporters, banks, ERP systems, tracking platforms, and other external systems.

- Build data-driven products for pricing, shipment visibility, automation, and operational control.

Stakeholder Management:

- Work with senior leadership to align product priorities with business objectives.

- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Customer Support, Technology, and Compliance teams.

- Communicate product roadmap, priorities, dependencies, and progress effectively.

- Manage expectations across multiple stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 3-6 years of experience in Product Management / Product Ownership.

- Experience working with technology and engineering teams.

- Strong understanding of product development lifecycle.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong understanding of APIs, databases, integrations, and technology concepts.

- Ability to create clear PRDs, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

- Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership.

Preferred Experience:

Candidates with experience in any of the following will be preferred:

- Logistics / Freight Forwarding / Supply Chain

- SaaS / B2B platforms

- FinTech

- E-commerce

- Marketplace platforms

- ERP / TMS / WMS

- Pricing engines

- API and third-party integrations

- Workflow automation

- AI-powered products
