Description:

- Work Location: Chennai /Bengaluru.

- Business Unit: EPS Automotive Electronics.

- Role: Product Leader Electrification.

- As a Product Leader Electrification, you will own the strategy, technology roadmap and execution for our electrification product portfolio, mainly motor control units, including inverters, motors etc.

- You will act as the strategic interface between OEM customers, engineering teams, and business leadership shaping innovative, safe, and efficient solutions that accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility.

- This is a cross-functional leadership role that blends technical depth, customer engagement, and business strategy in a high-growth, fast-evolving domain.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision:

- Define and own the product strategy and technology roadmap for motor control units used in electric drive systems (eAxles, traction motors, hybrid drives) for India and globally.

- Analyze evolving EV architectures, regulations (emissions, homologation, etc.), and OEM needs to guide feature prioritization.

- Stay current with trends in e-motors, inverters, power electronics (SiC, GaN), and battery systems.

- Collaborate with R&D teams on emerging technologies such as 800V architectures and thermal management optimization.

- Analyze market trends, regulatory requirements (AIS, NCAP, ISO 26262, UNECE), and competitive products to guide feature prioritization.

- Identify new business opportunities in ePowertrain and energy management solutions.

- Develop clear value propositions and business cases for product investments.

- Contribute to technology partnerships and innovation scouting.

Execution & Delivery:

- Translate user needs, customer/regulatory/safety requirements into clear product goals and technology roadmaps & specifications.

- Lead cross-functional teams (software, systems, hardware, validation) through the product lifecycle from concept to SOP (Start of Production).

- Prioritize features, manage trade-offs between performance, cost, and schedule.

- Manage product lifecycle from concept through production and post-launch updates.

Stakeholder Management:

- Work closely with regulatory authorities, other tier 1 stakeholders and internal stakeholders to align product goals and technology roadmaps.

- Be the primary product interface to OEM customers gather requirements, define specifications, and drive joint development programs.

- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to support RFQ (Request for Quotation) responses and define optimal product configurations.

- Translate OEM requirements into clear internal product specifications and technical deliverables.

- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and program management to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.

- Present progress and outcomes to executive leadership and external partners.

- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and standards bodies.

Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Science Engineering.

- MBA or certification in Product Management is an advantage.

Experience:

- 12+ years of experience in automotive product management, program management or systems engineering, including at least 35 years in electrification of ePowertrain.

- Proven experience managing OEM customer programs at a Tier 1 supplier.

- Deep understanding of high-voltage systems, power electronics, and vehicle integration.

- Familiarity with ASPICE, AUTOSAR, and model-based development (MBSE).

- Strong leadership and strategic thinking capabilities.

- Ability to balance technical depth with business priorities.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
