Product Head, West Africa

- Are you an accomplished leader with a deep understanding of the automotive industry and a proven track record in international business? Our client is looking for an experienced Product Head to lead their dynamic product team in West Africa.

- Based in Mumbai, this pivotal role requires a strategic thinker who can drive business growth, foster innovation, and shape the future of their automotive offerings in a key emerging market.

Key Responsibilities:

- Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the West African market, aligning with overall business objectives and market demands.

- Identify new product opportunities and drive the full product lifecycle from conceptualization to launch and post-launch analysis.

- Market Analysis & Insights: Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify trends, unmet needs, and opportunities for product differentiation.

- Leverage insights to inform product development and localization efforts.

- Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, engineering, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product development, launch, and market penetration.

- Act as the primary liaison between the product team and other departments.

- Business Growth & Profitability: Drive revenue growth and profitability for the four-wheeler product portfolio in West Africa.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to optimize product performance and market share.

- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing product team.

- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including distributors, dealers, and key clients in the West African region.

- Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all product offerings comply with local regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements in the West African markets.

Key Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B. /B. Tech) combined with a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) is strongly preferred.

Experience:

- Minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in the Automobile sales sector.

- Preferably 5+ years of international business experience specifically within Africa, demonstrating a strong understanding of the continent's diverse markets and business landscapes.

- Extensive experience working with four-wheelers at leading automotive companies.

Skills:

- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.

- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.

- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic international environment.
