Product Head Description: We are hiring a Head of Product to define and deliver a world-class, user-centric digital marketplace experience across both: Demand-side (B2C): car/bike discovery, comparison, consideration, lead-to-purchase journeys, trust and transparency layers, retention Supply-side (B2B/B2B2C): partner experience for dealerships, OEMs, banks/NBFCs, insurance, and auto ancillaries onboarding, listing/inventory, lead management, conversion tooling, monetization, and performance This role blends strategic leadership, deep customer empathy, commercial acumen, and operational excellence. You will own end-to-end product vision, execution, and strategy building differentiated marketplace experiences powered by data and AI. Key responsibilities: 1) Product strategy and vision - Define and articulate a clear, compelling product vision aligned with 91Wheels long-term growth strategy and ambition to be the #1 consumer auto platform in India. - Champion customer-centric problem solving using research, behavioural insights, funnel analytics, qualitative feedback, and market signals. - Lead product thinking across the full marketplace lifecycle: discovery consideration lead generation partner engagement conversion post-lead experience and retention. - Drive platform strategy including pricing, packaging, subscriptions, and monetization across B2C and B2B offerings. - Define and lead the AI-powered product visionintegrating machine learning and generative AI into core experiences (consumer and partner) in a way that is aligned to business goals, trustworthy, and measurable. 2) Product & design leadership - Lead, inspire, and scale a high-performing multi-disciplinary team across Product Management, Design, UX Research, and Product Operations. - Build leadership bench strength through hiring, coaching, mentorship, and succession planning. - Establish a culture of ownership, high standards, experimentation, and continuous learning. Implement best-in-class product development practices: - Decision frameworks (e.g., outcome-based roadmaps, PRDs, discovery rituals) - Product governance and prioritization systems - Strong collaboration loops with Engineering, Data, Sales, Marketing, Ops, and Finance - Champion the use of AI to improve internal productivity across Product & Design automation, experimentation, analytics, decision support, and quality improvements. 3) Execution excellence - Translate strategy into high-quality, timely execution, ensuring speed, reliability, and user delight. - Drive outcomes through strong metrics and data-driven decisioning, balancing short-term wins with long-term platform investments. - Lead an experimentation engine: MVPs, pilots, A/B testing, and rapid iteration to de-risk innovation. - Ensure seamless collaboration across cross-functional and distributed teams. - Own accountability for customer experience, product performance, and business impact across the marketplace. 4) Budget and commercial management - Own the Product & Design budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and ROI. - Partner with Finance and ELT peers on annual planning, forecasting, and prioritization. - Drive commercial outcomes via pricing strategy, packaging innovation, and marketplace optimization. - Balance investments across core platform stability, new growth bets, and operational excellence. What success looks like (outcomes youll be expected to drive): Consumer platform leadership - Material improvement in key consumer KPIs: engagement, repeat usage, conversion through core funnels, customer trust signals, and overall satisfaction (e.g., NPS/CSAT). - Clear product differentiation vs. competition: better discovery, more confident decisions, faster journeys, and higher-quality outcomes. Ideal candidate profile: Must-have experience: - 12+ years in Product Management with significant time in senior product leadership roles. - Proven track record leading large, complex product teams in high-scale digital/technology-led organizations. - Strong background in marketplaces, platforms, or consumer internet businesses. - Demonstrated success across both consumer-facing products and supply-side/partner products (dealers, OEMs, fintech/insurance partners, etc.). - Hands-on experience with pricing, packaging, monetization, and business model innovation. - Strong strategic thinking paired with high execution horsepower and operational rigor. - Exceptional stakeholder leadership with the ability to influence at executive and board levels, and align diverse teams to outcomes. - Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous, growth-oriented environments. Strong plus - Experience in real estate marketplaces, media/advertising platforms, classifieds, or adjacent ecosystems with marketplace dynamics. - Strong exposure to AI/ML and GenAI productization (personalization, search/ranking, assistant experiences, automation, content generation, decision support).
