WEI Self-Serve Product
Location: Online (preferably NCR & Bangalore)

Team: Growth / Product
About the Role:National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) is an independent, not-for-profit organization advancing entrepreneurship across India. Through AI-enabled platforms, business acceleration and ecosystem partnerships, we empower aspiring entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs and institutions to build stronger businesses, create sustainable jobs and contribute to India's economic growth. NEN is in the process of launching a self-serve AI-product that can help our beneficiaries (entrepreneurs across Startups & SMEs) grow their business.
We are looking for a Product Growth Manager to own this Self-Serve product funnel end to end - from user registration through activation, engagement, and retention.
This person will be the single owner of the funnel's health: they'll know exactly where users drop off at every stage, why it's happening, and what to do about it. This is a hands-on, metrics-driven role that requires working closely and constantly with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to diagnose problems and ship fixes.
You won't just report on the funnel - you will actively manage and improve it, running a continuous cycle of analysis, hypothesis, experimentation, and iteration across all four stages: registration, activation, engagement, and retention.
What You'll Do:- Own the full self-serve funnel end to end, from registration to activation to engagement to retention, and be accountable for the metrics at each stage.
-
Registration: Improve signup conversion - reduce friction in the signup flow, optimize signup forms/steps, and diagnose drop-off between visit and account creation.
-
Activation: Define and drive the activation metric (e.g., time-to-first-value), identify the key actions that predict long-term retention, and work with Product to remove friction in onboarding.
-
Engagement: Track ongoing usage patterns, identify what drives habitual/repeat usage, and build initiatives (in-product prompts, lifecycle messaging, feature adoption pushes) to increase engagement.
-
Retention: Monitor cohort retention curves (D7/D30/D90 or relevant windows), identify leading indicators of churn, and design interventions to keep users active and reduce drop-off.
- Continuously analyze the funnel to find the biggest leverage points - using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT/Claude, AI-assisted SQL, or built-in AI insights like Amplitude/Mixpanel) to speed up analysis and surface hypotheses faster than manual review alone.
- Run a structured, ongoing experimentation process (A/B tests, iterative changes) across every funnel stage, using AI-assisted tools where useful to draft test variants, in-app copy, and lifecycle messaging faster.
- Partner closely and continuously with Product - to prioritize and ship funnel-improving features and fixes.
- Partner closely and continuously with Engineering - on instrumentation/tracking, experiment implementation, and technical fixes to friction points.
- Partner closely and continuously with Marketing - to align top-of-funnel acquisition quality with downstream activation/retention, and to use lifecycle/email/in-app messaging effectively.
- Build and maintain funnel dashboards that give the whole team clear, real-time visibility into where users are and where they're getting stuck - using AI-assisted tools to move faster without waiting on engineering for every report.
- Report on funnel health, experiment results, and improvement roadmap to leadership on a regular cadence.
What We're Looking For:- 6 - 8+ years in a Growth, Growth PM, or Growth Marketing role, ideally on a self-serve / product-led growth (PLG) product.
- Strong quantitative skills - comfortable with SQL and analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, GA4, or similar), and able to build and interpret funnel/cohort analyses independently.
- Proven track record of measurably improving funnel metrics (please be ready to talk specific numbers and outcomes).
- Deep, practical understanding of registration, activation, engagement, and retention mechanics for self-serve products.
- Comfortable working hands-on with Engineering on experiment setup, event tracking, and technical implementation.
- Proficient with AI tools as part of the day-to-day workflow - using LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for data analysis, hypothesis generation, and content drafting; AI-assisted SQL/querying; and comfortable evaluating AI-generated insights critically rather than taking them at face value.
- Strong cross-functional operator - able to align Product, Engineering, and Marketing around shared funnel goals without formal authority over those teams.
- Bias to action: ships fast, measures honestly, iterates or kills what doesn't work.
Success Looks Like (First 6 - 12 Months):- A fully instrumented, trusted view of the funnel across all four stages, with a live dashboard the whole team relies on.
- Measurable improvement in registration-to-activation conversion and activation-to-engagement transition.
- A running experimentation cadence with a documented win rate and clear before/after impact on retention.
- A prioritized, data-backed funnel improvement roadmap, built and maintained jointly with Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
