Context of the assignment:

It is a Time-to-Market improvement program for a leading motorcycle OEM in India, across all product lines and project types. The program implements 11 improvement levers along the product creation process, from product idea to SoP, including Platforming Strategy, Governance & Roles, and Supplier Management. IBC brings the methodology and overall transformation leadership; you will embed these new ways of working in the client's development teams.

What you will own:

- Run lever-specific training and help development teams adopt the new processes.

- Support engineering teams hands-on as they apply the levers in daily project work.

- Track progress across multiple development projects and follow up on open actions until agreed deliverables are completed to plan.

- Bring resistant teams along by showing them the benefits in engineering terms.

- Own day-to-day relationships with project leads across your set of teams.

What we are looking for:

- 10 - 18 years in automotive or two-wheeler product development, at an OEM or a Tier-1 supplier.

- Solid understanding of the full product creation process, from concept to SoP.

- Experience steering multiple parallel development projects, for example as a program manager, PMO lead, or engineering project lead.

- A track record of driving process change inside engineering teams.

- Dependable and persistent, and comfortable holding teams accountable.

- Able to learn quickly and work well in fast-changing environments.

- Strong communication in English; Hindi is an advantage.

- An engineering background is required; an MBA from a premier institute is preferred.

Working model:

This is a 12-month role on contract with IBC. The first 3 - 4 months are intensive on-site work in Jaipur, 3 - 4 days per week. The model may become more flexible in later phases, depending on program priorities.
