Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Product Development professional to lead our R&D initiatives for the Sealants division in Mumbai. In this role, you will spearhead the end-to-end formulation lifecycle, translating complex technical requirements into high-performance sealant solutions that meet global quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and sales, to ensure seamless product scaling and market alignment. By driving innovation in chemical compositions and application technology, you will directly influence our competitive positioning and deliver tangible value to our industrial and construction-sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Formulate and optimize high-performance sealant products by conducting rigorous laboratory trials to ensure superior adhesion, durability, and chemical resistance for diverse industrial applications.

- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to oversee the pilot-plant scale-up of new formulations, ensuring that product specifications are consistently met during mass production.

- Analyze competitive product benchmarks and market trends to identify opportunities for product enhancement, ensuring our portfolio remains at the forefront of the industry.

- Manage technical documentation, including product data sheets and regulatory compliance reports, to support the sales and marketing teams in effectively positioning our solutions to key stakeholders.

- Troubleshoot technical challenges during the product development lifecycle by applying root-cause analysis to resolve formulation stability or performance issues promptly.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in polymer chemistry and the formulation of silicone, polyurethane, or acrylic-based sealants, backed by 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in an R&D environment.

- Proven ability to manage complex technical projects independently, from initial concept and raw material sourcing to final product validation and commercialization.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders, fostering effective collaboration across departments.

- A Masters degree or PhD in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry from a reputed institute, providing a solid theoretical foundation for advanced material development.

- High adaptability to an on-site work environment in Mumbai, with a proactive approach to laboratory safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
