Procurement Specialist - S2C (Source-to-Contract)

Individual Contributor Role

About the Role

- The Procurement S2C function is a critical enabler of business and functional performance. It supports delivery of organizational strategies by driving efficiency, compliance, and value across third-party spend. The S2C team operates within the sourcing pillar and is responsible for how the organization approaches the market, engages suppliers, and manages commercial agreements.

- This is an Individual Contributor role supporting various business units with end-to-end sourcing, contracting, and supplier performance management activities. Operating within a global process framework, the position strengthens the organization's service delivery model by ensuring effective cost management and maximizing value from third-party contracts. The role must execute in accordance with the Category Management Policy (CMP), relevant regulations, and approved budgets.

Key Accountabilities

1. Case Management

- Receive, manage, and continuously prioritize multiple project requests through the case management system.

- Ensure timely progress updates and adherence to defined service levels.

2. Strategy & Market Intelligence

- Collect and analyze market and industry intelligence across supported categories and regions.

- Evaluate supplier landscapes, pricing trends, and industry dynamics to inform sourcing decisions.

- Contribute to the development of sourcing strategies aligned with category and business objectives.

3. Supplier Prequalification & Set-Up

- Conduct supplier screening and prequalification as per defined guidelines.

- Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of prequalification requirements.

- Set up and maintain supplier records within P2P systems.

4. Sourcing Event Management

- Manage bidder identification and selection processes.

- Work with internal teams to plan and execute sourcing events (RFI, RFP, RFQ, e-Auctions).

- Maintain stakeholder and supplier engagement throughout the sourcing lifecycle.

- Coordinate technical and commercial evaluations in line with CMP and regional governance requirements.

- Prepare and secure approvals for award recommendations according to the defined approval matrix.

5. Contracting & Negotiation

- Develop contract documents using approved templates and requirements gathered through sourcing events and scope definitions.

- Negotiate commercial terms and conditions within legal and category guidelines.

- Conduct commercial benchmarking and develop negotiation strategies to secure optimal value.

- Manage contract deviations and exception approvals.

- Finalize, execute, and operationalize contracts in the appropriate systems.

6. Contract Award Management

- Ensure contracts remain fit-for-purpose, valid, and current within the contracting system.

- Manage contract amendments, extensions, and close-outs based on business requests.

- Resolve invoice discrepancies through proactive engagement with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and timely payments.

- Maintain up-to-date price books, including additions and removals in accordance with commercial agreements.
