Procurement Professional - Automotive Components

As a Procurement Expert, you will work closely with the consulting team and client stakeholders to identify sourcing opportunities, strengthen supplier negotiations, and drive tangible cost savings. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role requiring a strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and procurement dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and evaluate procurement-led cost reduction opportunities across relevant categories and components.

- Support vendor identification, evaluation, and sourcing initiatives to improve commercial outcomes.

- Manage and support RFP processes, including supplier engagement and proposal evaluation.

- Conduct should-cost analysis and assess opportunities for cost optimisation.

- Lead or support supplier negotiations to deliver targeted savings and improved commercial terms.

- Work closely with the consulting team and client stakeholders to translate procurement opportunities into actionable initiatives and support their execution.

Your Background:

- 4-8 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, cost reduction, or related functions.

- Experience in consulting or a combination of consulting and relevant industry experience.

- Strong expertise in procurement cost reduction, vendor identification, RFP management, supplier negotiations, and should costing.

- Prior experience in the automotive components or broader industrial manufacturing sector.

- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as stamping, fine blanking, injection molding, welding, machining, forging, casting, or similar processes would be highly relevant.

- Experience working with automotive suppliers or managing relevant direct-material/component categories is preferred.

Other Info:

- This is a full-time, on-site contractual engagement based in Bangalore.

- The initial contract duration is 3 months, with the potential to extend for a further 3 months.

- Consultants based outside Bangalore may also be considered, with hotel accommodation provided for the duration of the engagement.
