Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials and packaging materials specific to personal care products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market trends.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, conducting thorough due diligence to assess their capabilities, financial stability, and adherence to quality standards.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers, optimizing terms and conditions to achieve cost savings and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Manage supplier relationships, monitoring performance against agreed-upon metrics and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing teams to identify and evaluate alternative raw materials and packaging solutions, driving innovation and cost optimization.
- Monitor market trends and commodity prices, providing insights and recommendations to mitigate potential risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical sourcing practices, maintaining the company's commitment to sustainability and responsible sourcing.
- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute procurement strategies that drive cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency within the personal care industry.
- Proven expertise in sourcing raw materials and packaging components, including knowledge of market dynamics, supplier landscape, and quality standards.
- Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of securing favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and resolving complex procurement challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
