Procurement Manager - FMCG

Role Overview:

The Procurement Manager will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for raw materials, packaging materials, and other indirect materials required for the company's manufacturing operations. This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders, including production, quality, and finance teams, as well as external suppliers, to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials. The Procurement Manager will play a crucial role in optimizing the supply chain, reducing costs, and improving the overall efficiency of the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure a reliable supply of materials for the FMCG business.

- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.

- Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and issue resolution.

- Analyze market trends and identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure alignment of procurement activities with business objectives.

- Oversee the procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve the efficiency of the procurement function.

- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock levels to meet production demands.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and competitive supply base.

- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve team goals.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective procurement strategies within the FMCG sector.

- Proven skills in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.

- Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

- Ability to lead and motivate a team of procurement professionals.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.

- Experience with ERP systems and procurement software is essential.

- Must be adaptable to a fast-paced, on-site work environment in Gurgaon/Gurugram.
