Role Overview:

Innoquest Consulting is seeking a seasoned Procurement Lead to spearhead their clients in the oil and gas offshore EPC procurement strategy.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle for complex, large-scale offshore projects, ensuring that high-value equipment and services are procured with optimal cost-efficiency and technical compliance.

You will act as the primary interface between internal project management teams, global vendors, and executive stakeholders, navigating the intricacies of international logistics and maritime regulatory frameworks. Your leadership will directly influence the bottom line of our EPC portfolio by mitigating supply chain risks, optimizing CAPEX expenditure, and ensuring that project timelines are met through robust contract management and strategic sourcing initiatives. This role offers the flexibility to be based in Cochin, Bangalore, or other major locations across India, providing a platform to drive excellence in a high-stakes engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Formulate and execute comprehensive procurement strategies for offshore EPC projects to ensure timely delivery of critical equipment within budgetary constraints.

- Lead high-stakes contract negotiations with global suppliers to secure favorable terms, mitigate commercial risks, and ensure alignment with international maritime standards.

- Manage the end-to-end vendor lifecycle, including pre-qualification, performance evaluation, and relationship management, to maintain a high-quality, reliable supply base.

- Oversee complex logistics and supply chain operations, coordinating with freight forwarders and customs authorities to ensure seamless movement of materials to offshore sites.

- Collaborate with project finance and engineering teams to conduct rigorous cost-benefit analyses, ensuring that all CAPEX investments align with long-term project profitability.

- Implement proactive risk management frameworks to identify and resolve potential supply chain disruptions, ensuring operational continuity in volatile market conditions.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrate deep expertise in offshore EPC procurement, with a proven track record of managing large-scale CAPEX projects and complex international supply chains.

- Exhibit exceptional negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to navigate intricate legal and commercial frameworks to protect organizational interests.

- Possess strong analytical capabilities to interpret project finance data, market trends, and risk assessments to drive data-backed decision-making.

- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, maintaining transparency and alignment across diverse geographical locations.

- Showcase a high degree of adaptability and self-management, capable of leading remote or distributed teams while maintaining high performance standards across multiple locations.

- Hold a relevant degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, complemented by 10 - 15 years of progressive experience in the EPC sector.
