Key Responsibilities:

Global Sourcing & Procurement:

- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for power tools, components, accessories, and related product categories.

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to support business growth and supply continuity.

- Lead sourcing activities across international markets, with a primary focus on China-based manufacturers and suppliers.

- Conduct supplier assessments, capability evaluations, and commercial negotiations to secure competitive sourcing solutions.

- Ensure timely procurement of materials while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery objectives.

Vendor Development & Management:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers.

- Drive vendor development initiatives to enhance supplier capabilities, quality standards, and operational performance.

- Monitor supplier KPIs related to quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.

- Implement supplier performance review programs and corrective action plans where necessary.

- Develop alternative supplier sources to mitigate supply chain risks.

Cost Optimization & Supply Chain Efficiency:

- Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and supplier negotiations.

- Drive productivity improvements and procurement savings without compromising quality and service levels.

- Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and supplier cost structures to optimize procurement strategies.

- Ensure efficient inventory planning and supply chain continuity.

New Product Development (NPD) Support:

- Collaborate with Product Development, Engineering, and Marketing teams for new product launches.

- Identify and develop suppliers capable of supporting new product requirements.

- Source innovative products, technologies, and components aligned with business objectives.

- Participate in product costing, supplier selection, and commercialization activities.

China Market Sourcing:

- Leverage extensive knowledge of the China supplier ecosystem to identify reliable manufacturing partners.

- Conduct supplier visits, audits, and negotiations with Chinese vendors.

- Monitor market developments, industry trends, and sourcing opportunities within China.

- Coordinate with international suppliers to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and regulatory requirements.

Quality & Compliance Management:

- Ensure sourced products and suppliers meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements.

- Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to resolve supplier quality issues.

- Support supplier audits, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance assessments.

- Maintain procurement documentation, contracts, and supplier records.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and Product Management teams.

- Support demand planning and inventory optimization initiatives.

- Provide sourcing insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field.

- MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Procurement preferred.

- 8-15 years of experience in Global Sourcing, Procurement, Vendor Development, and Supply Chain Management.

- Strong experience in the Power Tools, Hand Tools, Industrial Equipment, Electrical Products, or Consumer Durable industries.

- Proven exposure to China sourcing markets, supplier management, and international procurement.

- Experience in supplier audits, negotiations, cost reduction programs, and new product development sourcing.
