1. Procurement Head Indirect OPEX
1.1 Role Details
The Procurement Head - Indirect OPEX is responsible for managing and optimizing the high value Indirect OPEX procurement expenditures to drive cost efficiency and value creation for Businesses. He/She ensures expertise is provided during negotiations, oversees procurement processes, and ensures optimal outcomes for large-scale Indirect OPEX investments.

1.2 Roles and Responsibilities:
1.2.1 Functional R&R:
- Strategic Procurement Leadership: Participate in business strategy meetings to help define annual procurement strategies, aligned with organizational objectives.
- Procurement Process Oversight: Monitor procurement processes executed by business teams to ensure optimal outcome of the procurement event. Ensure identified potential risks or inefficiencies in procurement activities and suggested improvements are shared with the business procurement leads.
- Advisory Support to Business Indirect OPEX Team: Provide support to Indirect OPEX team with guidance on best practices and spearhead the negotiation for High Value services and Supply items, as defined in DOP
- Market Intelligence: Develop market insights to enable strategic buying decisions and support management to decide future Indirect OPEX plans. Ensure thorough market & supplier analysis is conducted by team members to identify potential suppliers, understand pricing trends, and assess market conditions, enabling informed decision-making.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments to understand project-specific requirements and align procurement strategies
1.2.2 Administrative R&R:
- Change Management and Transformation: Lead organizational change initiatives to support growth and adoption of technologies for improved operational efficiency.
- Talent Development and People Management: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development allowing for skill and personal development.
- Performance Measurement: Develop KPI frameworks with the support of central Indirect OPEX team, establish and monitor KPIs for procurement activities and define measurement procedures for timely reporting and KPI assessment.
- Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify areas for improvement and lead/implement them for enhanced efficiency or effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Management and Communication: Build relationships with key stakeholders and promote teamwork across functions. Manage effective communication with internal and external stakeholders for seamless collaboration and transparency.
- Risk Management, Compliance: Ensure adherence to compliance standards and internal controls across procurement activities amongst the teams.

1.4 Experience & Qualifications:
Educational Qualification Any Graduation (BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MBA/CA preferred)
Minimum Experience Requirement:
- 20+ years of experience in procurement of materials / services
- Should have experience in leading a team of buyers
- Possess strong techno-commercial knowledge of the market & procurement of Services / Supplies categories
- Possess strategic relationships with key suppliers of Steel/Metals/Manufacturing/ Heavy Industry
Preferred Industry:
- Steel, metals, manufacturing, or heavy industries
