
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Position Title: Project Manager (Civil)
Work Location: Kota, Rajasthan
Purpose of the Position:
To execute new and existing projects end-to-end by coordinating with various departments, suppliers, vendors and contractors for effective project execution.
The role will support the expansion of new projects and existing facilities from the Civil and CAPEX perspectives and should be adept at project management.
The position will be responsible for seamless and time-bound execution across Civil (buildings and sheds), Mechanical (machines) and Electrical (LT & HT) activities in coordination with plant and corporate teams.

- Formulate reports with comparisons and insights and present them to management to support informed decision-making.

Budget Oversight:
- Efficiently manage project budgets for Greenfield and Brownfield projects and optimize resource allocation.
- Negotiate with suppliers to meet budget estimates.
Customer / External & People Orientation:
- Collaborate with external partners, vendors, suppliers and contractors to complete projects within timelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Manufacturing, Finance, Projects and leadership teams for smooth execution of Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
Core Operational Accountabilities:
- Own end-to-end CAPEX procurement lifecycle, from RFQ issuance to PO closure, for large-scale Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
- Identify vendors and conduct techno-commercial evaluation and negotiations across machinery, electrical and civil categories.
- Drive e-procurement and reverse auction processes, including SAP Ariba.
- Manage procurement for PEB structures, structural steel and civil/turnkey works in coordination with EPC contractors.
- Source and finalize electrical infrastructure including transformers, LT panels, HT/LT cables, conduiting and lighting systems.
- Manage solar power project procurement, including EPC vendor selection, module/inverter techno-commercial evaluation and installation contract finalization.
- Oversee solar AMC contracts, warranty terms and regular follow-ups.
- Procure mechanical and material-handling equipment such as cranes, forklifts and packaging machinery.
- Manage utility system procurement and vendor performance reviews.
- Draft, negotiate and administer service contracts, AMCs, maintenance agreements and manpower/service vendor arrangements across mechanical, electrical and utility functions.
- Coordinate inter-facility logistics for machinery movement, including freight and dispatch planning.
- Negotiate commercial contracts covering DLP, retention, payment terms and SLAs across CAPEX and service categories.
- Track project progress and vendor delivery timelines using Gantt charts and proactively highlight schedule delays.
- Monitor project finances through Budget vs. Actual (BvA) tracking and variance analysis.
- Prepare techno-commercial comparisons and present procurement recommendations to management.
- Ensure complete project documentation including MOMs, approval notes, inspection reports and service contract records.
- Collaborate with engineering, plant operations and finance teams.
- Conduct vendor/site visits to ensure compliance with quality, safety, delivery and service-level commitments.
- Follow up with commercial teams for timely supplier/vendor payments.
- Coordinate between building architects and Civil/PEB/Electrical contractors to resolve discrepancies and project execution bottlenecks.
