Procurement Consultant - MBB Consulting Firm - Contractual

Our client is a global consulting firm supporting a large industrial-grade boiler manufacturing company based in India, operating at scale across complex, engineering-led production environments. The engagement is being supported by a global consulting firm as part of a focused cost and value improvement initiative.

The Procurement Consultant role sits within a project setup cost model aimed at strengthening procurement decision-making and cost transparency. The consultant will play a critical role in building robust procurement cost models, enabling the client to better understand supplier economics, optimise sourcing decisions, and support project-level cost governance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and refine procurement cost models to support project setup and execution

- Analyse supplier cost structures, should-cost elements, and pricing drivers

- Support sourcing and procurement strategy decisions for project-based requirements

- Work closely with internal procurement, engineering, and project teams to align cost assumptions

- Provide data-driven insights to improve cost visibility, negotiations, and supplier selection

- Contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer for ongoing procurement initiatives

Your Background:

- 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or cost optimisation roles

- Prior exposure to industrial, manufacturing, or heavy engineering environments preferred

- Strong hands-on experience in procurement cost modeling and supplier cost analysis

- Experience supporting project-based procurement or capex-driven initiatives

- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Other Details:

This is a contractual role with an initial duration of 12 months, extendable based on project requirements. The consultant will be required to work on-site in Pune and travel for 2-3 days a week across site as needed
