Job Title: Procurement Consultant Global Energy & Materials

Role Summary
We are hiring a Procurement Consultant for a 1-year contractual assignment to support strategic sourcing and procurement activities across key material categories such as labels, adhesives, resins, silicones, fertilizers, paper, films, and chemicals in the global energy and materials space.
This role requires a hands-on procurement professional who can drive category strategies, manage global suppliers, and deliver cost and process efficiencies. The consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams and be expected to travel regularly to Gurgaon for supplier and stakeholder interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies across target categories.
- Conduct supplier identification, assessment, and negotiation, both locally and globally.
- Perform cost benchmarking, should-cost modeling, and TCO analysis.
- Negotiate commercial contracts and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor commodity markets and supplier risks to ensure supply continuity.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders from R&D, operations, and finance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and sustainability requirements.
- Support procurement digitization or process improvement initiatives, if applicable.
Requirements
- 512 years of experience in procurement or sourcing in chemicals, packaging, industrial materials, or energy-related sectors.
- Hands-on experience sourcing adhesives, silicone, labels, fertilizers, resins, films, or similar materials.
- Strong knowledge of supplier markets in Asia, Europe, and India.
- Solid negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in tools such as SAP, Ariba, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Willingness to travel to Gurgaon regularly.
Educational Background
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
- MBA or equivalent in Supply Chain/Operations (preferred but not mandatory).
Nice to Have
- Prior consulting or project-based experience in procurement transformation.
- Exposure to sustainability frameworks and supplier compliance programs.
