Role Purpose:

To lead and manage procurement and commercial operations ensuring cost optimization, compliance, and timely delivery of goods and services. The role involves strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract lifecycle management, and driving digital transformation in procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procurement Strategy & Planning

- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.

- Drive category management for Capex, Opex, and project-related procurement.

- Ensure compliance with Vedanta's procurement policies and regulatory frameworks.

2. Commercial Operations

- Lead negotiations for high-value contracts to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.

- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including tendering, bid evaluation, and award.

- Oversee contract lifecycle management from award to closure.

3. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.

- Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and contractual obligations.

- Implement vendor governance and risk management frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Engineering / Supply Chain Management / MBA preferred.

- Experience: 12-20 years in procurement, commercial operations, or supply chain, preferably in Heavy Industries, EPC, or large-scale industrial sectors.
