Pro Vice Chancellor - University

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Review, update, create, and strengthen academic systems and processes at the University in consultation with relevant stakeholders

- Ensure quality assurance in teaching and learning

- Ensure achievement and continuous improvement of student learning outcomes

- Ensure smooth and efficient academic operations across the University

- Oversee faculty training and development initiatives

- Ensure curriculum operationalization, audits, and quality assurance to maintain high academic rigor

- Promote project-based, experiential, and research-led learning

- Participate in faculty governance of curriculum through statutory bodies such as the Academic Council, Boards of Studies, and other relevant committees

- Support faculty in the development of new programs and revision of existing courses

- Ensure excellence in assessment practices aligned with learning outcomes

- Build and strengthen external relationships with industry, institutes of repute, and government organizations

- Contribute to research, consultancy, and professional practice initiatives, as required

- Support enrolments, student success initiatives, and Career Services

- Communicate the University's vision and long-term academic strategy to the campus community and stakeholders

- Proactively manage engagement with environmental, legal, and regulatory bodies, and advise the Vice Chancellor on campus-related affairs

- Develop and promote the brand and image among key stakeholders and the broader community

- Ensure that long-term and short-term academic development plans of the University and its schools are processed and implemented through relevant authorities, bodies, committees, and officers

- Recommend proposals to the Management Council for the establishment of Schools, departments, institutions of higher learning, research and specialized studies, knowledge resource centers, academic service units, libraries, laboratories, and museums

- Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Vice Chancellor

- Perform any other duties as reasonably required by the post holder's line manager or management from time to time.
