
Role Overview:
The Private Banker (Senior VP/Cluster Head level) acts as a trusted advisor, managing comprehensive financial portfolios for High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs). The role requires deep expertise in investment products, portfolio construction, and strong relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition (HNI/UHNI) : Source new high-value clients through networking, referrals, and market mapping.
- AUM Growth & Revenue Generation : Achieve and exceed targets for Asset Under Management (AUM) growth, revenue generation, and product penetration (PMS, AIF, Mutual Funds, Structured Products).
- Portfolio Advisory : Provide tailor-made investment strategies, asset allocation advice, and portfolio rebalancing services.
- Relationship Management : Maintain high-touch, long-term relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and in-depth market intelligence.
- Product Expertise : In-depth knowledge of Equity, PMS, AIFs, Bonds, Unlisted Shares, and Insurance to advise on complex financial needs.
- Team Leadership (For Senior/VP Roles) : Mentor and manage a regional team of Wealth Managers/RMs to drive acquisition and productivity.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Experience : 10-20+ years of experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management, or HNI Portfolio Management.
Education : MBA/PGDM (Finance/Marketing) or similar postgraduate degree.
Certifications : NISM (Series VIII/X), CFA, or CFP is highly preferred.
Skills : Strong analytical ability, in-depth market knowledge, and excellent negotiation/communication skills.
