Role Overview:

The National Nursing Head will be responsible for building, scaling, and standardizing nursing operations across Pristyn Care's rapidly expanding network of surgical centers and partner hospitals. As a senior clinical leader in a startup environment, this role combines strategic direction with hands-on execution to ensure high-quality, patient-centric nursing care while supporting aggressive growth plans.

The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset, strong on-ground understanding, and the ability to build systems, teams, and culture from the ground up in a dynamic, fast-paced organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Nursing Strategy & Clinical Governance

- Define the national nursing vision, policies, and operating framework aligned with Pristyn Care's growth strategy.

- Develop and implement standardized nursing SOPs across OPD, IPD, OT, day-care, and post-operative care.

- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and ethical nursing practices across all locations.

- Drive continuous improvement in clinical quality and nursing outcomes in a startup, multi-city setup.

Standardization, Quality & Compliance:

- Build scalable nursing processes that ensure consistency while allowing flexibility for local hospital partners.

- Lead clinical audits, quality reviews, and internal assessments across centers.

- Ensure readiness and compliance with NABH and applicable regulatory requirements.

- Track key nursing KPIs such as patient satisfaction, clinical quality indicators, adverse events, and infection rates.

Nursing Workforce Planning & Operations:

- Own national nursing manpower planning aligned with expansion into new cities and centers.

- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, deployment, and retention of nursing staff across geographies.

- Design efficient nurse staffing models suited to day-care and short-stay surgical centers.

- Proactively address attrition, skill gaps, and performance challenges in a high-growth environment.

Training, Capability Building & Culture:

- Design practical, scalable training frameworks for nurses covering OT protocols, surgical care, and patient counseling.

- Enable rapid upskilling to support new procedures, technologies, and specialties.

- Build leadership capability within the nursing team and create clear growth pathways.

- Foster a culture of accountability, agility, compassion, and ownership typical of a startup ecosystem.

Patient Experience & Care Continuity:

- Ensure seamless, patient-centric nursing care across the entire surgical journey.

- Work closely with operations and customer experience teams to improve patient communication and comfort.

- Drive patient feedback mechanisms and ensure corrective actions are implemented quickly.

- Maintain consistency in nursing experience across cities despite rapid scale-up.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Expansion Support:

- Partner closely with surgeons, anesthetists, hospital partners, operations, and business teams.

- Support onboarding of new surgical centers and partner hospitals from a nursing readiness perspective.

- Act as the national escalation point for nursing-related issues.

- Represent the nursing function in leadership discussions and growth planning initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

- B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing (mandatory)

- Registered with State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council

- 15-20 years of overall nursing experience, with 6-8+ years in a senior leadership role

- Prior experience in hospital chains, surgical centers, or fast-growing healthcare organizations preferred

- Strong exposure to OT nursing, day-care surgeries, and quality/accreditation processes
