AGM - Category / Growth ( team handling )
About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:
1. P&L Ownership & Financial Management
- Own complete P&L of the assigned category.
- Drive financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting with tight control on cost structures.
2. Category Growth Strategy
- Define short and long-term strategy for category growth and expansion.
- Identify new business opportunities, product/service gaps, and market trends.
- Develop go-to-market plans and launch strategies for new offerings.
3. Sales & Revenue Management
- Lead sales planning and execution to achieve revenue targets.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to improve conversions and performance.
- Set and monitor monthly/quarterly sales targets and KPIs.
4. Team & Stakeholder Management
- Build, lead and mentor a high-performing category management team.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, Supply Chain, Tech, and Finance.
- Enable team development through training, goal-setting, and continuous feedback.
5. Customer & Market Insights
- Analyze customer behavior, competitive landscape, pricing, and assortment.
- Leverage data insights to drive category innovation and performance.
- Conduct periodic market research and benchmarking.
6. Operational Excellence
- Drive efficiencies in processes and operational workflows.
- Oversee inventory planning, vendor management, and fulfilment coordination.
- Ensure SLAs, quality metrics, and operational KPIs are met consistently.
Skills & Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent degree from a reputed institute.
- Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in category management, sales, or P&L roles.
- Prior experience in managing a large team and multi-crore P&L.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proven record of delivering category growth in a fast-paced environment.
