Role Overview:
The position Principal Officer will be responsible for leading regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational governance under the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA). You will act as the nodal officer for regulatory interactions, ensuring strict adherence to rules governing AIFs, PMS, and cross-border investment services.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory & Compliance Leadership
- Act as the designated Principal Officer for GIFT City operations under IFSCA.
- Ensure end-to-end regulatory compliance with IFSCA (International Financial Services Centre), SEBI, RBI, and other applicable frameworks.
- Oversee AML/KYC, PMLA obligations and act as the nodal officer for transaction monitoring and reporting.
- Ensure timely filings, reports, and disclosures to IFSCA and SEZ authorities.
- Ensure adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), KYC norms, and data security regulations.
Risk & Governance
- Build and implement risk frameworks (credit, operational, compliance).
- Support internal audits and coordinate with external auditors or consultants.
- Maintain governance charters and compliance policy manuals.
Operational Oversight
- Monitor day-to-day functioning of the GIFT City unit including fund flows, client onboarding, and transaction processing.
- Drive compliance-led technology adoption to streamline reporting and internal controls.
Business & Strategic Support
- Support the leadership in strategic planning and market expansion under the GIFT City umbrella.
- Liaise with regulators and legal counsel for licensing, fund structuring, or product innovations (e.g., AIF, PMS, IFSC Units).
