Position Name : Principal Officer - Fund Accountant

Location : Gift City,Gandhinagar

Experience Range - 5+ yrs

Mandatory Requirement:

Technical expertise in fund accounting and investor reporting

Liaise and report effectively with regulatory bodies, ensuring adherence to all compliance and reporting requirements.

About the client: The Company manages equity assets across PMS, AIF, and Advisory channels, including offshore funds It oversees assets under management and advisory of approximately 3600 Crs

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

1.Fund Accounting & Operations Oversight:

- Supervise end-to-end fund accounting, including NAV calculations, expense accruals, and investor allocations for AIF Cat III strategies.

- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of portfolio valuations and financial statements in line with IFSCA and SEBI AIF norms.

- Coordinate with custodians, fund administrators, and portfolio managers to ensure smooth operational execution.

2.Regulatory & Statutory Compliance:

- Oversee onboarding, KYC/AML checks, and ongoing monitoring of investors as per regulatory norms.

- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in investor communications, capital call/distribution notices, and investor reporting.

3.Investor Servicing & Reporting:

- Conduct internal compliance audits and risk assessments regularly.

- Ensure compliance checks before investor onboarding, transactions, fund launches, etc.

- Assist in handling regulatory inspections and audits.

4.Process Improvement & Controls:

- Build and enhance SOPs for fund accounting, operations, and compliance reporting

- Identify gaps and implement best practices in accounting, reconciliation, and financial controls.

5.Audit, Taxation & Coordination:

- Manage external and internal audits, tax filings, and liaison with statutory auditors, tax advisors, and consultants.

- Ensure appropriate tax treatment of fund transactions, investor distributions, and cross-border flows (if any).

Qualification and Experience:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute.

- 6-8 years+ of experience in fund accounting, operations, and regulatory reporting for AIFs (preferably Cat III) or PMS/Mutual Funds.

- Strong familiarity with IFSCA regulatory framework and fund setup/compliance in GIFT City is highly desirable.
