Role Overview:

As a Principal M&A (Infrastructure), you will be at the forefront of our strategic growth initiatives, driving the identification, evaluation, and execution of complex mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures within the infrastructure sector. This role demands a hands-on approach to deal origination and execution, working closely with senior leadership, internal investment teams, and external advisors. You will be instrumental in shaping portfolio, contributing directly to the firm's expansion and its impact on critical infrastructure development across India and potentially beyond. Your work will directly influence the firm's investment strategy and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end M&A process, from deal sourcing and preliminary screening to negotiation, closing, and post-acquisition integration planning, for infrastructure assets.

- Conduct comprehensive financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence to assess potential investment opportunities and risks, ensuring robust decision-making.

- Develop and present compelling investment theses and recommendations to the Investment Committee, articulating strategic rationale and financial projections.

- Manage and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-quality analytical output.

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, including target companies, financial advisors, legal counsel, and lenders, to build a robust deal pipeline.

- Structure and negotiate complex transaction terms, working collaboratively with legal and financial advisors to achieve optimal outcomes for organization

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in M&A deal execution, financial modeling, project finance, and valuation techniques, specifically within the infrastructure sector.

- Proven ability to lead and manage complex transactions from origination to close, showcasing strong project management and organizational skills.

- Exceptional analytical acumen, capable of dissecting intricate financial data and market trends to inform strategic investment decisions.

- Superior communication and negotiation skills, adept at influencing stakeholders, presenting complex information clearly, and building consensus.

- A strong academic record, preferably with an MBA from a top-tier institution or a CFA designation, complementing 7-12 years of progressive experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Corporate M&A roles focused on infrastructure.

- A proactive and results-oriented mindset, thriving in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment in Mumbai.
