Eligibility Criteria:
1. Educational Qualifications:
- A recognized post-graduate medical qualification (MD/MS) from a recognized institution.
- A Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university is highly desirable.
2. Experience & Academic Credentials:
- Must be a Professor with a minimum of ten (10) years of teaching experience in a recognized medical college/institution.
- Out of the total teaching experience, at least five (5) years should be as a Professor/Head of the Department in a medical faculty.
- A minimum score/academic performance indicator as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out by UGC.
3. Research Publications:
- A robust track record of research with a minimum number of research publications in indexed/peer-reviewed journals as specified by UGC and NMC norms for the profile of a Professor/Principal.
Core Responsibilities:
- Academic Leadership: Provide strategic direction to all medical undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD/MS/Super-specialty) programs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to regulations, guidelines, and standards set by the UGC, National Medical Commission (NMC), and the affiliating University.
- Administration & Governance: Manage day-to-day institutional administration, faculty recruitment, student affairs, and hospital-college coordination.
- Research & Innovation: Promote a robust culture of clinical and translational research, securing grants, and facilitating international collaborations.
- Quality Assurance: Lead institutional accreditation processes (such as NAAC, NIRF, and NABH for the associated hospital).
