Title: Principal Data scientist Experience: 10+ yrs Job Location: Bangalore Qualification: B.Tech / B.E / M.Tech / M.E / MCA Major Responsibilities: - Bachelor's or Masters degree in Engineering. - Own and execute end to end multiple data science projects. - Work with Product Managers to refine business problems, identifying data sources and propose an end to end solution. - Translate product requirements into analytical requirements/specifications, design and develop required functionality. - Leverage technology to automate daily operational activities. - Driving best practices across teams for - code development, code versioning, unit tests, testing strategies, pipeline architecture, model development & deployment, use of cloud applications, use of AI/ML platforms. - Build Framework for Quantitative review for all team related KPIs in terms of OKR, scale. - Educating internal and external teams about data driven decisions with help of products developed. - Lead and mentor a team of data scientists to build solutions which are robust, proven, scalable, DS driven and high impact. Skills & Experience Required: - 10+ years of experience in solving data science problems using machine learning, data mining algorithms and big data tools. - Strong experience with advanced SQL and good experience in big data ecosystem - Hive/Pig/MapReduce, Spark. - Experience of having delivered at least one product with involvement in business problem identification, propose solutions and evaluating them, identifying required data sources, building data pipeline, visualizing the outputs and taking actions based on the data outputs. - Be aware of the latest advancements in ad-tech industry and the changing business needs, and propose & plan for new data science backed capabilities with product. - Experience in the following query and programming languages is a must - e.g. SQL, Big Query, Python/ R - Thorough knowledge in building optimization solutions. - Experience in delivering data science projects leveraging cloud infrastructure. - Experience with Agile framework. - Candidates with ability to set-up and ensure continuous improvement of MLOps & CI/CD processes will be preferred. - Experience in advertising or ad-tech industry will be a plus. Good to Have: - Extreme attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload. - Demonstrated high degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities. - Comfortable working in a startup environment - small teams with changing priorities. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Willingness to try new technologies and languages and ability to grasp and learn quickly. - Believes in continuous learning and sharing knowledge with peers.
