About the Opportunity :

We are hiring a Principal Data Quality Architect for our client, a leading Data & AI consulting organization. This is a full-time, remote role based out of Chennai. The selected candidate must bring a minimum of 15 years of deep, hands-on Informatica IDQ architecture experience - this is non-negotiable. Candidates with general data engineering backgrounds, limited IDQ exposure, or implementation-only profiles will not be considered.

This is a Principal-level role - not an implementation role. The right candidate thinks in architecture patterns, designs for scale and governance, sets the DQ strategy for the engagement, and serves as the highest technical authority on Informatica IDQ within the project. You will own the end-to-end Data Quality architecture and framework across 8 in-scope data sources, working directly with senior client stakeholders, data governance leads, and technical delivery teams.

Job Description :

- 15+ years of total experience - with the core, primary track record built on Informatica IDQ architecture, design, and delivery across enterprise-scale programs

- Principal or Lead Architect-level depth in Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) - including rules engine design, exception framework architecture, bad records governance, scorecard strategy, and DQ platform roadmap ownership

- Strong working knowledge of Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS / IDMC) Cloud Data Quality modules and migration pathways from on-premise IDQ to cloud

- Proven track record of architecting and delivering end-to-end DQ frameworks for large-scale corporate or government programs - not module-level configuration work

- Ability to define the DQ strategy at engagement level - covering data profiling approach, rules taxonomy, remediation architecture, monitoring design, and handover standards

- Exceptionally strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and profiling across relational databases and enterprise data warehouse environments

- Solid command of data warehousing architecture, schema designs (Star / Snowflake), and data lake / lakehouse platform concepts

- Experience with diverse data formats - structured, semi-structured, and API payloads across complex multi-source environments

- Knowledge of data management frameworks such as DAHMA or ISO 8000 is a strong advantage

- 15 years in IDQ architecture is the minimum bar - candidates with fewer years of dedicated IDQ experience or implementation-only profiles will not be evaluated

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and own the end-to-end Data Quality framework for the engagement - defining the DQ strategy, rules taxonomy, remediation architecture, exception governance model, and monitoring design across 8 in-scope data sources

- Lead detailed data profiling and analysis across complex source systems (including SAP, Moamalat, Bawaba, and others) - identifying structural anomalies, data gaps, quality risks, and root cause patterns

- Design and govern a reusable, production-grade catalog of DQ rules, thresholds, issue classifications, and escalation workflows in collaboration with senior business stakeholders and data governance leads

- Architect automated data cleansing pipelines - covering standardisation, de-duplication, parsing, enrichment, and exception routing - ensuring scalability, reusability, and auditability

- Define and oversee the integration of DQ rules into Informatica ETL / ELT pipelines - ensuring continuous, automated data health enforcement before data reaches the Curated Lakehouse layer

- Design and publish enterprise-grade data quality scorecards and executive monitoring dashboards - using Informatica's native capabilities or by architecting metrics pipelines into BigQuery / Tableau / Looker

- Set and enforce documentation standards for the engagement - including DQ architecture blueprints, rules catalog, metadata mapping logs, remediation runbooks, and client knowledge transfer materials

- Serve as the highest technical authority on Informatica IDQ for the engagement - guiding implementation team members, resolving architecture-level decisions, and advising the client at a strategic level on DQ platform evolution

Good to Have :

- Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Tableau, or Looker for DQ metrics architecture and executive reporting

- Familiarity with DAHMA or ISO 8000 data management frameworks

- Experience leading DQ architecture on government, banking, healthcare, or large enterprise data programs

- Knowledge of data governance principles, metadata management, data lineage, and master data management

- Experience working alongside MDM platforms (Informatica MDM, Stibo, or similar) in integrated data programs

- Informatica IDQ or IDMC certification is an added advantage
