Principal Data Engineer - 9+ Years - Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Gurugram

We are looking for an experienced Principal - Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and evolution of enterprise-scale data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure data engineering, Databricks, Python, SQL, and PySpark, with a proven ability to deliver AI-ready data solutions while leading high-performing engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

- Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design scalable data solutions aligned with business objectives.

- Lead, mentor, and guide the data engineering team while driving engineering best practices and technical excellence.

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data ingestion frameworks supporting batch and real-time data processing.

Requirements:

- 9+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or related domains with strong Azure expertise.

- Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, PySpark, Azure Data Services, and Databricks.

- Strong understanding of Databricks Unity Catalog, data governance, security, and CI/CD using Azure DevOps.

- Experience designing scalable, secure, and AI-ready data platforms with strong stakeholder management skills.

- Excellent communication, leadership, ownership, and problem-solving abilities with experience leading multiple initiatives.
