Role Overview :

As the Principal Data Architect, you will be the driving force behind our data strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and enables data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, engineering teams, and IT leadership to design, implement, and govern our data architecture. This role directly impacts our ability to leverage data for innovation, improved customer experiences, and enhanced operational efficiency, ultimately contributing to significant revenue growth and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and champion the enterprise data architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.

- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to support diverse analytical and operational needs.

- Establish and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Lead the evaluation and selection of data technologies, tools, and platforms, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the organization.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data architects, engineers, and other data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into actionable data solutions.

- Oversee the design and implementation of data integration pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow between various systems and applications.

- Drive the adoption of data modeling techniques and standards to ensure consistency and accuracy across the enterprise data landscape.

- Monitor and optimize data architecture performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

- Communicate data architecture principles and best practices to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-scale data architectures, including data warehousing, data lakes, and real-time data processing systems.

- 20 + years experience in industry is required for this role

- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, driving consensus and achieving strategic objectives.

- Deep understanding of data governance principles and practices, including data quality, data security, and data privacy.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data-related issues.

- Extensive experience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
