Job Description:

About the opportunity:

A leading global investment management firm known for its research-driven, multi-strategy approach to the world's markets is hiring for its Financial Research group. This is a senior, high-impact seat on the Fundamental Equities team, working hand-in-glove with front-office investment teams to shape investment views in the technology sector.

If you are a sharp fundamental equities researcher who lives and breathes software business models, this is a chance to do differentiated, thesis-driving work at a firm where research genuinely moves capital.

Location: Hyderabad, Bengaluru, or Gurugram (based on preference)

What you'll do:

- Cover companies across the technology sector and build rigorous fundamental views through deep analysis of business models and competitive positioning.

- Act as a thought partner to front-office teams generating ideas, stress-testing and refining existing theses, and bringing differentiated insight into live investment discussions.

- Build and maintain detailed financial models that reflect your understanding of each company's drivers.

- Track earnings, company developments, news flow, and external research to spot key themes and inflection points, and synthesise these into crisp investment memos.

- Benchmark companies against peers across financial and operational metrics.

- Engage directly with management teams, sell-side analysts, intermediaries, and sector experts to sharpen your research and sector view.

What we're looking for:

- A degree in finance or equivalent (MBA, CFA, or CA), with at least 8 years of investment research experience.

- Prior investment research experience in Enterprise Software, Vertical Software, and/or Payments with a strong grasp of the business models and industry dynamics of these sectors.

- Hands-on financial modelling and valuation skills.

- Robust analytical aptitude and sharp attention to detail.

- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate investment views clearly and persuasively.

Why this role:

- Senior, front-office-facing research with direct influence on investment decisions.

- A firm with a deep research culture and global markets exposure.

- Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience and calibre.
