Key Responsibilities:

Pricing & Data Analysis:

- Analyse product costing, raw material price fluctuations, and market trends to recommend competitive pricing.

- Build and maintain pricing models, dashboards, and forecasting tools.

- Conduct margin analysis across products, geographies, and customer segments.

- Evaluate price elasticity, volume impacts, and profitability scenarios.

Market & Competitor Insights:

- Track competitor pricing movements and industry benchmarks within the chemical sector.

- Monitor global chemical market indices, commodity trends, and demand-supply shifts.

- Provide timely insights on pricing risks, opportunities, and market changes.

Commercial Operations:

- Support Sales team with deal pricing, quote approvals, and customer negotiations.

- Ensure pricing governance, adherence to approval workflows, and compliance with internal policies.

- Coordinate with Finance on cost updates, exchange rate impacts, and margin validation.

Reporting & Documentation:

- Prepare monthly pricing reports, variance analysis, and executive summaries for management.

- Maintain accurate and updated pricing databases and contract pricing records.

- Present actionable insights and recommendations to leadership teams.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong analytical and numerical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

- Understanding of chemical industry products, raw materials, and value chains.

- Ability to interpret complex data and convert it into meaningful business insights.

- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-support skills.

- Detail-oriented, agile, and capable of functioning under dynamic market conditions.

Key Success Indicators:

- Improvement in product margins and pricing accuracy

- Effective competitor benchmarking and market intelligence

- Timely pricing updates and adherence to governance

- Strong collaboration with Sales and Finance teams

Education & Qualifications (Mandatory)

- B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering

- MBA (Marketing / Finance / Strategy preferred)
