Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced and visionary professional to lead the Planning Centre of Excellence (COE).
- The COE Head will be responsible for defining, standardizing, and continuously improving the planning function across all projects and clusters.
- This includes developing enterprise-wide planning frameworks, driving governance and compliance, institutionalizing performance management practices such as Earned Value Management, and enabling data-driven decision-making through standardized MIS and dashboards.
- The role requires close coordination with senior leadership, cluster planning managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure consistency, reliability, and strategic alignment in project planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Guidelines & Standardization:
- Define and periodically update enterprise-level planning processes, guidelines, and templates covering:.
- Schedule preparation and resource loading.
- Progress measurement techniques.
- S-curve generation and tracking.
- Earned Value Management (SPI, CPI, forecasting).
- Develop and maintain a robust risk management framework including risk identification, quantification, mitigation plans, and risk register formats.
- Standardize and maintain templates for WBS, milestone plans, approval workflows, and delay analysis.
- Create a roadmap for BIM 4D and 5D use case implementation for schedule and cost scenario analysis; monitor implementation and adoption of BIM tool by planning CoE.
MIS & Dashboard Standardization.:
- Define and institutionalize standardized MIS formats for:.
- Weekly Progress Reports (WPR).
- Monthly Progress Reports (MPR).
- Delay & exception reporting.
- Design and periodically refine role-based dashboards for:.
- Chairman & Managing Director.
- Senior Management in HO.
- Cluster Heads.
- Project Heads.
- Standardize planning KPIs (e.
- SPI, CPI, resource utilization).
- Governance & Compliance.
- Establish the governance framework for project planning (schedule & cost) reviews at HO and cluster levels.
- Periodically audit planning process compliance in collaboration with Cluster Planning Managers to ensure adherence to standardized planning processes and consistency across all projects.
- Drive continuous improvement by capturing learnings from audits, project reviews, and performance evaluations.
Training & Capability Building:
- Organize training programs for Cluster Planning Managers, Project Planners.
- Serve as a mentor and technical advisor to regional and site-level planning teams.
- Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination.
- Collaborate with techno-functional teams for BIM tool implementation.
- Work closely with senior leadership providing them with insights on project performance, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Support digital transformation initiatives by aligning planning standards with tool configurations and automation opportunities.
