ASSIGNMENT BRIEF
Role: Plant President
Location: Kothputli, Rajasthan
Candidate Profile - Must Haves
- Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering qualification, with a strong agrochemical industry background.
- Proven experience leading a large manufacturing plant within agrochemicals.
- Experience commissioning or scaling manufacturing facilities is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant Leadership and Operations Management
- Own end-to-end operational responsibility for the manufacturing facility.
- Lead and manage the site leadership team, including VP - Operations, Site HR and Site Finance.
- Drive production planning, capacity utilisation and manufacturing efficiency across technical, formulation and combination product lines.
2. Safety, Quality and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS) standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.
- Uphold product quality standards across the plant, supporting compliance with international regulatory requirements given the company's exports to over 80 countries.
- Drive a strong safety culture across the permanent and contract workforce.
3. New Plant Commissioning
- Play a key leadership role in supporting the commissioning and ramp-up of the company's upcoming manufacturing facility
- Bring best practices, systems and processes to ensure a smooth start-up of the new site.
- Support capacity planning and manpower deployment across both sites.
4. Cost, Productivity and Continuous Improvement
- Drive cost optimisation, productivity improvement and manufacturing excellence initiatives.
- Implement lean manufacturing, TPM and other continuous improvement practices.
- Manage plant budgets, capital expenditure proposals and cost control.
5. People Leadership
- Lead and develop the site leadership team, including HR and Finance business partners.
- Build a strong, engaged and disciplined workforce across permanent and contract employees.
- Partner with corporate HR on talent, culture and organisational development at the site.
6. Stakeholder and Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with corporate leadership, R&D, supply chain and sales teams to align plant output with business and export requirements.
- Engage with local government, regulatory bodies and community stakeholders.
