
Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Pre-Sales Solution Consultant to drive solutioning, client engagement, and deal conversion for IT Application Solutions across the Africa region, with a strong focus on Government and Public Sector clients.
This role will act as a bridge between business needs and technology solutions, enabling large, complex deals through deep domain understanding, strong storytelling, and consultative selling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Sales & Solutioning
Lead end-to-end pre-sales cycle: requirement discovery, solution design, proposal creation, and deal closure support
Design IT application solutions aligned with government RFPs, tenders, and compliance frameworks
Develop customized solution architectures (digital transformation, e-governance, enterprise applications, citizen services, etc.)
- Government & Africa Market Engagement
Engage with government stakeholders, ministries, and public sector bodies across Africa
Understand local regulatory, procurement, and compliance frameworks in target countries
Build insights on country-specific digital initiatives, funding models (World Bank, IMF, etc.), and public sector priorities
- RFP / Bid Management
Lead and manage RFP/RFI/RFQ responses
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (delivery, product, finance, legal) to build compelling proposals
Ensure compliance, localization, and alignment with tender requirements
- Client Consulting & Presentations
Conduct CXO-level presentations, solution walkthroughs, and demos
Translate complex technical solutions into business value narratives
Support negotiations with commercial and technical inputs
- Solution Architecture & Innovation
Work closely with delivery and product teams to create scalable and future-ready architectures
Identify opportunities for digital transformation, automation, AI/analytics integration
Build reusable solution frameworks, case studies, and accelerators
- Market Intelligence & Strategy
Track competitor landscape, pricing benchmarks, and emerging technologies in Africa public sector
Provide inputs to go-to-market (GTM) strategy for the region
Support account mining and deal qualification
Key Requirements:
Must-Have:
- 9+ years overall experience in IT industry
- Minimum 4+ years in Pre-Sales / Solutioning role
- Proven experience in Africa geography + Government/Public Sector deals
- Strong exposure to IT Application Solutions (e-Governance, ERP, Digital Platforms, Citizen Services, etc.)
- Experience handling large bids / multi-million dollar deals
Technical & Functional Skills:
Strong understanding of:
- Enterprise Applications (ERP/CRM)
- Digital Transformation programs
- Cloud-based solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- System Integration projects
- Knowledge of public sector procurement processes and frameworks
Soft Skills:
- Excellent consultative selling & stakeholder management
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills
- Ability to work in multi-cultural, cross-geography teams
- High ownership and ability to work in ambiguous environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- BE/BTECH/BCA/MCA
- Experience of working with multilateral-funded projects (World Bank, African Development Bank, etc.)
- Exposure to Smart Government / Digital Nation initiatives
- MBA or equivalent business qualification
- Certifications in cloud / enterprise architecture / solution design
