Presales Role - IT Infrastructure Technologies

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Presales Hardware BOQ Specialist who will be responsible for solution sizing, BOQ/BOM preparation, technical proposal support, and infrastructure solutioning for enterprise customers across datacenter, networking, security, cloud, and end-user infrastructure domains.

The role requires close coordination with sales, OEMs, solution architects, bid management, and delivery teams to design technically compliant and commercially optimized infrastructure solutions for RFPs, RFQs, and customer opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Understand customer requirements, RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs from a presales perspective

- Prepare detailed and accurate BOQs/BOMs for servers, storage, networking, security solutions, backup & DR, datacenter infrastructure, and end-user computing

- Perform hardware sizing, configuration mapping, and solution estimation

- Collaborate with OEMs/distributors for product selection, technical validation, pricing support, part code mapping, and solution optimization

- Support proposal creation including technical solution documents, compliance matrix, assumptions & dependencies, architecture inputs, and scope definition

- Ensure technical compliance against customer specifications and tender requirements

- Participate in customer discussions, technical presentations, and solution walkthroughs

- Work closely with sales teams to provide presales support during pursuits and bid submissions

- Coordinate with delivery and implementation teams for project handover

- Maintain standard BOQ templates, estimation sheets, and reusable solution components

Required Skills:

- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure technologies

- Experience in presales estimation and BOQ/BOM preparation

- Knowledge of enterprise servers, storage solutions, networking, virtualization, backup solutions, cybersecurity infrastructure, and datacenter technologies

- Familiarity with OEM ecosystems such as Dell Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Cisco Systems, Lenovo, Fortinet, and VMware

- Good understanding of licensing, warranty, and support models

- Strong Excel and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering / IT / Computer Science

- 4+ years in IT infrastructure presales or estimation roles

- Experience working with System Integrators or enterprise technology organizations

- OEM certifications are an added advantage
