Presales & Proposal Lead - Technology/IT Professional Services

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Presales & Proposal Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in a fast-paced, consultative sales environment, with a strong background in tech/IT professional services. This role is crucial for driving high-impact bids and proposals, and you will be responsible for owning the entire proposal lifecycle for high-value deals. You'll work directly with clients to understand their needs, and collaborate with our sales, delivery, and engineering teams to shape creative and feasible solutions.


Key Responsibilities:


- Proposal Ownership: Own the end-to-end proposal process for high-value deals, from initial qualification to final submission. This includes managing all aspects of the bid, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards.


- Client Engagement: Partner directly with clients to conduct discovery sessions, understand their business challenges, and articulate our value proposition effectively.


- Solution Strategy: Collaborate with sales, delivery, and engineering teams to design and document creative and technically feasible solutions that address client needs.


- Content Creation & Storytelling: Lead the development of compelling and persuasive proposal content. Utilize your knack for storytelling to create a clear and impactful narrative that highlights our unique capabilities and commercial value.


- Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to build and maintain tooling, content libraries, and best practices to improve the speed and effectiveness of our bid and proposal process.


- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead bid teams, providing guidance and strategic direction to ensure a cohesive and winning approach.


Required Skills & Qualifications:


Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in presales, bid management, and leading proposal teams within the tech/IT professional services sector.


- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop bid strategies and a deep understanding of commercial insights.


- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a talent for storytelling and presenting complex information clearly.


- Collaboration: Strong ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and delivery.


- Project Management: Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple high-stakes proposals simultaneously.


Preferred Qualifications:


Industry Experience: Experience working with clients in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) or Retail sectors is a plus.


Technical Background: A background in technology or engineering is a significant advantage.
