About the role:
As a Manager, you assume a great deal of responsibility to manage the entire analytical process, become an expert on the client's issues and industry, and recommend solutions that make a real impact. Managers run a project end to end, have full ownership of the deliverables, and assume leadership roles on their team - as such, your team's successes also enhance your own personal results story.
Managers engage in complex client interactions and shape senior-level thinking. You provide answers, explain strategic implications, and foster a culture of giving back by inspiring colleagues and the firm to contribute their talents
As a Manager, you will also be engaging in moderate business development activities and client relationship management along with overseeing high-quality delivery of projects up to and above client expectations.
- This role is in the Food & Agriculture practice of Praxis Global Alliance
- End-to-end ownership of project delivery leading high-impact teams
- Driving through leadership in strategy (GTM, revenue acceleration, cost reduction, sourcing strategies, etc.) & due-diligence (CDD, ODD, VDD) projects related to food & agriculture sector and coming up with compelling approaches, frameworks, and solutions to client problems
- Driving high-quality research and analysis by teams
- Lead and deliver high-quality client presentations in projects
- Managing scope and delivery of projects along with end-to-end client requirements management
- Understanding the client requirements and then customizing the project scope and services as per their needs
- Lead project delivery and manage delivery teams to drive client wow and delight
- Play an active part in recruitment and build project delivery teams in your department
Competencies and skills:
- Minimum 6 years of management consulting experience or equivalent at a reputed consulting firm
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the food and agriculture sector, with involvement in strategy or due diligence projects across downstream and upstream companies
- Deep expertise across the agricultural value chain, with experience in specialized sectors such as agri inputs, animal health, crop protection, import-export, sustainable farming practices, precision agriculture, farm equipment and mechanization, food processing, cold chain logistics, retail & distribution and agri-tech
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to research, analyze and communicate key commercial value drivers
- Strong ability to frame a problem, define an approach to solving it using the consulting toolkit, and work planning for the solution delivery
- Proven track record in leading a team of at least 3 consulting team members end to end
- Ability to work and influence in client settings and work collaboratively with counterparts in business partner teams to drive impact together at clients
- Take full ownership of project delivery through high-impact teams
- Coach and build skills in delivery teams and be a role model for future managers
- Excellent communication skills and client management skills
- Ability to understand the client's needs and develop trusted relationships
- Ability to create impactful proposals for specific projects with a tailored approach
- End-to-end understanding of the management consulting toolkit
Educational and other requirements:
- Experience in food & agriculture companies & in line functions will be considered a plus
- Graduate degree with strong academic performance, preferably with a strong analytical background
- MBA from a top-tier institute preferredsuch as Ivy League B-schools in the US, FABM IIM A, ABM from IIML, or PGP from IIMs (A, B, C, L or I), ISB, XLRI, FMS and SP Jain
- Consistent track record of academic excellence
- Demonstrated leadership in both educational and professional settings with high drive and energy
