Role Overview:
We are looking for an Actuarial professional with hands-on experience in IFRS 17 reporting and implementation within the life insurance domain. The role involves supporting the organization in IFRS 17 transition, reporting, and model validation, working closely with cross-functional teams including finance, risk, and actuarial functions.
- Support implementation and ongoing reporting under IFRS 17 framework
- Work on actuarial modelling, validation, and analysis for IFRS 17 calculations
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and disclosures
- Perform data analysis, reconciliation, and validation of actuarial outputs
- Assist in automation and process improvements using tools like Excel, VBA, R
- Work on assumption setting, experience analysis, and sensitivity testing
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for audit and compliance requirements
- Handle multiple projects and ensure timely delivery within defined timelines
Candidate Profile:
- 4-8 years of experience in IFRS 17 function within a life insurance company
- Strong understanding of actuarial concepts and insurance financials
- Prior exposure to IFRS 17 implementation / reporting is mandatory
Technical Skills Required:
- Working knowledge of VBA and R programming
- Experience with actuarial tools such as Prophet, DCS, etc.
- Knowledge of SAS will be an added advantage
