The role ensures accurate settlement, accounting, reconciliation, compliance, and reporting of investment transactions across asset classes, while supporting asset management and treasury operations in line with regulatory and internal governance standards. The incumbent will be expected to deliver financial solutions, and build robust operational frameworks while balancing strategic priorities in dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership and oversight for end-to-end settlement of investment transactions across asset classes, ensuring adherence to market timelines, counterparty SLAs, and regulatory norms

- Own investment transaction accounting within the Investment Management System (IMS), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with accounting standards and internal policies

- Establish strong reconciliation frameworks

- Review, approve, and release Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations to all relevant stakeholders , ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and governance controls

- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for investments in coordination with Finance

- Oversee Forward Rate Agreement (FRA) transactions and hedge accounting processes, ensuring appropriate documentation, valuation, effectiveness testing, and accounting treatment

- Own the maintenance, stability, and continuous improvement of the Investment Management System, including upgrades, enhancements, and automation initiatives

- Act as the primary SPOC for banks, custodians, brokers, and service providers to ensure smooth operational execution and issue resolution

- Lead and manage all audits related to investment operations (internal, statutory, regulatory), including preparation, stakeholder coordination, response to observations, and timely closure

- Strengthen internal controls, risk mitigation practices, and standard operating procedures to support a robust and compliant investment operations framework

- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, capability enhancement, and operational excellence

Qualifications & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) / MBA (Finance) / CFA / ICWA or equivalent

- 10-14 years of experience in investment operations / back office / treasury operations, preferably within life insurance, asset management, or financial services

- Strong understanding of life insurance investment regulations and accounting practices

Key Skills & Competencies

- Deep knowledge of investment instruments and post-trade processes

- Grasp of treasury operations and cash management

- Attention to detail and control orientation

- Ability to manage audits and regulatory interactions confidently

- Strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills

- Experience with investment accounting systems and reporting tools
