Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly experienced Presales Technical Consultant with a strong background in WebMethods and enterprise integration platforms.

This is a hybrid role combining presales leadership and hands-on delivery. You will act as a trusted technical advisor during the sales cycle while also contributing directly to implementation and solution delivery.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable :

- Engaging with CXOs and architects to design enterprise solutions

- Configuring and implementing integration platforms hands-on

Key Responsibilities :

1. Presales & Business Development :

- Lead the technical presales lifecycle from discovery to deal closure, including workshops, demos, architecture discussions, and POCs.

- Own technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and SOWs, ensuring accurate solution design, scope, and estimations.

- Conduct structured discovery sessions to understand customer landscapes, challenges, and future roadmap.

- Position Pragma Edge offerings across webMethods, IBM Sterling, and proprietary solutions.

- Design and deliver live demos and working proof-of-concepts.

- Provide competitive insights against platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, Axway, and Azure Integration Services.

2. Hands-On Technical Delivery :

- Design and implement end-to-end integration architectures using webMethods.

- Configure B2B/EDI integrations including trading partner setups and communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, HTTPS, etc.).

- Develop and manage REST/SOAP APIs, including security and governance.

- Build cloud and hybrid integrations across webMethods.io, AWS, and Azure.

- Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis.

- Mentor and guide junior consultants on best practices and solution design.

3. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement :

- Act as the primary technical advisor during pre-sales and transition phases.

- Collaborate with sales, delivery, and leadership teams for seamless execution.

- Represent Pragma Edge in client forums, webinars, and industry events.

- Contribute to reusable assets such as solution templates, proposals, and estimation models.

Required Qualifications :

1. Experience :

- 10 to 12 years of experience with WebMethods Integration Suite.

- At least 4 years in a customer-facing presales or solution architecture role.

- Proven success in winning enterprise integration deals.

- Strong expertise in EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT) and communication protocols.

- Experience integrating with enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, etc.).

- Hands-on exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, webMethods.io).

2. Technical Skills :

- Deep expertise in webMethods IS, B2B/TN, UM, API Gateway.

- Strong knowledge of data mapping (XSLT, JSON, webMethods mapper).

- API design expertise including OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, JWT.

- Proficiency in Java, Python, or scripting languages.

- Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace).

- Familiarity with DevOps practices (CI/CD, Git, automation).

3. Soft Skills & Business Acumen :

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong proposal writing and presentation abilities.

- Ability to estimate and scope integration projects accurately.

- Consultative mindset with a customer-first approach.

- Ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements effectively.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator / Secure Proxy.

- webMethods or Software AG certifications.

- Domain experience in Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, or Financial Services.

- Understanding of supply chain EDI ecosystems and VAN networks.

- Experience in system integrators / partner ecosystems.
