Position Overview:
- We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cloud Engineering Practice Manager to lead our pre-sales and practice development initiatives.
- This strategic role combines technical expertise in cloud engineering, DevOps, and SRE with strong business acumen to drive growth, build client relationships, and deliver innovative solutions.
- The ideal candidate will be a thought leader who bridges the gap between technical capabilities and business outcomes while working across multiple geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales Leadership & Business Development
1. Lead all pre-sales activities including preparation of proactive proposals for existing and prospective customers, ensuring alignment with client needs and organizational capabilities.
- Prepare comprehensive proposals and respond to RFQ/RFP/RFI for cloud engineering, DevOps, and SRE engagements with compelling value propositions.
- Lead capability presentations and technical demonstrations with new customers, showcasing the organization's expertise and differentiators.
- Collaborate closely with senior sales stakeholders across different geographical regions to effectively present cloud, DevOps, and SRE capabilities to new and existing customers.
- Partner with pre-sales teams, account leadership, regional sales stakeholders, and cloud architects to drive proposal creation and RFP/RFI responses.
- Innovation & Market Differentiation
- Proactively create accelerators, frameworks, and tools that differentiate the organization in the market and deliver tangible value to customers.
- Collaborate with the AI team to develop and integrate AI-powered solutions within cloud engineering, DevOps, and SRE offerings.
- Stay abreast of latest market trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices to devise effective Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies.
- Own and maintain capability presentations, case studies, and success stories to support sales initiatives, ensuring content remains current and compelling.
- Project Delivery & Team Management
- Upon successful proposal win, lead team setup, project kickoff, and initial phase management until the engagement is fully streamlined and operational.
- Work effectively across multiple geographies, adapting to different time zones and cultural contexts as needed.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, mentoring team members and promoting continuous learning and professional development.
- Provide regular status updates to leadership on proposal progress, pipeline health, and win/loss analysis through established reporting mechanisms.
- Track and monitor all proposals, RFP/RFQ activities to ensure progress aligns with plan; proactively identify issues and escalate to account leadership for timely resolution.
- Create and maintain detailed project plans for all proposal activities, capability presentations, and client engagements.
Required Technical Expertise:
- Strong hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and hybrid cloud architectures
- Deep understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi)
- Expertise in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, observability, and production excellence
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture
- Understanding of cloud security, compliance frameworks, and FinOps principles
- Familiarity with AI/ML integration in cloud operations and AIOps practices
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in IT with at least 5 years in cloud engineering and DevOps
- 3+ years of experience in pre-sales, practice management, or technical leadership roles
- Proven track record of winning large-scale cloud transformation and DevOps engagements
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect) preferred
- Experience working with global clients and cross-functional teams across multiple geographies
